The American Land Title Association (“ALTA”) set forth a list of “Best Practices” for title companies in 2013. These best practices were put in place to help title providers highlight policies and procedures that the industry exercises to protect lenders and consumers while maintaining a level of satisfaction with the real estate settlement experience.

In 2015 Ally Title reached out to a third party auditor, A-lign, to examine and document our commitment to adhering to the ALTA Best Practices, which resulted in achieving an SSAE 16 SOC 1 Type 1 compliance certification.  This certification examines and reports on internal controls within the business to ensure the integrity of data and protection of Non Public Information (NPI).

In 2016 Ally Title continued its commitment to adhering to the ALTA Best Practices by achieving a SOC 1 Type 2 compliance certification from an additional audit performed by A-lign.
